Champions of Hope Campaign
October 7 - 11, 2024
The Champions of Hope Campaign is a week-long fundraiser, October 7-11, 2024. The dates were selected in recognition of World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10. Free mental health screenings will be provided by GateWay of Hope on that day. Champions of Hope will raise support for mental health services for underserved women. Together, we can help more women find their hope and transform their lives.
How this works!
How GateWay of Hope will Support their Champions
- We will educate Champions about the history and mission of GateWay of Hope.
- We will regularly communicate valuable information to our Champions about the mental health needs and the challenges our fundraiser seeks to overcome.
- We will provide Champions with their purple scarf/handkerchief.
- We will work with Champions to set up their fundraising pages.
- We will generate their individual QR codes and provide buttons and business cards with the QR code.
- We will send Champions graphics/info to post/email/text leading up to and during the COH week.
- We will be available to assist Champions as needed throughout the entirety of the campaign.
- We will generously thank-you again and again! And celebrate you at a private event, yet to be determined.
What is expected of a Champion?
- Champions will wear a purple scarf or handkerchief & pin every day from October 7-11.
- All champions will be invited to a training.
- Champions will use an online fundraising page with a recommended goal of $1,000 per individual (note that teams will have a team page and individual pages for each team member)
- Champions will use their social media/email/texts to share about “Shining a Light” on Women’s Mental Health and “Being a Light in Someone’s Darkness” (GateWay of Hope staff will provide materials for easy sharing).
- Champions will be provided business cards with their QR code linked to their donation page to give to individuals interested in supporting their fundraising efforts.
- Champions will be invited to a private reception to celebrate this campaign.
