We want you to know more about our therapists at Gateway of Hope! First up in this series is Megan Ross, LCPC. Megan works with adults and teens, treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and negative thought patterns. She leads our Restoring Hope group, which is a group for Domestic Violence women survivors. The Restoring Hope group provides support to one another, validation in feelings and experiences and assistance moving forward in healing from Domestic Violence.

 

What type of therapist are you? I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Thinking and Mindfulness techniques in my work with women.

What brought you to Gateway of Hope? I came to Gateway because in my years of practice and personal life I realized that helping women overcome struggles in their lives is something that is very important to me.

What is your background/past work in counseling? I have spent most of my career working with at-risk youth, especially teenagers and families.

What group of clients are you most passionate about working with? I love working with teenagers!
