Dacia L. Moore, MA, LPC, NCC, is GateWay’s Executive Director. She has a Masters Degree in Counseling from Webster University and is a National Board Certified Counselor. Dacia also serves as an adjunct professor at the Metropolitan Community Colleges and Webster University. Before joining GateWay, Dacia was head of programs at a residential facility where she provided training for staff, parents, guardians and students on topics such as anger management, mediation, conflict resolution, stress reduction and leadership. She routinely dealt with difficult diagnoses such as ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. Dacia is the author of the Successful Choices Anger Management Activities Manual and the book, Why Are So Many Students So Angry? Her mission is to help adults learn practical strategies to reduce difficult behavior and improve personal productivity.
Deborah Simon, LCPC, is GateWay’s Co-founder and Director of Counseling. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Kansas. Deborah is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Mental Health Counselors Association. Deborah counsels women in the areas of depression, grief, anxiety and PTSD. She also desires to offer her experience and understanding of Dissociative Identity Disorder to help women who have suffered from severe trauma and abuse. She strives to offer a safe and confidential place for women in ministry such as pastors, ministry leaders, church staff or pastors’ wives. Deborah desires to see women become all that God created them to be.
Rebecca Thesman, CLC, is GateWay`s Program Director and a Certified Life Coach. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and an Advanced Certificate in Coaching from the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is a member of the Biblical Coaching Association and the Kansas Authors Club. She is a trained Stephen Minister with a background in ministry and communications and a Certified Biblical Counselor. Rebecca thrives on teaching Biblical truth and promoting emotional and spiritual health. She has a heart for women who have been wounded by life`s circumstances and seeks to help them find healing and growth. Rebecca’s passion is to help women realize how unique and valued they are.
Denise Gartner, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Kansas. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and Certification as a Sexual Addictions Treatment Provider from the SATP Institute. Denise counsels women in the areas of depression, anxiety, grief and PTSD. She also applies her Advanced Training in Sexual Addictions to support women whose spouses struggle with pornography or hypersexuality, as well as women who struggle with their own sexual issues and traumas. With a heart for women who have been affected by trauma, Denise has been involved in healing ministry groups for more than six years. Her passion is for women to receive healing and growth to help discover the specific plan and purpose God has for each of us.
Leeanna Billups serves at GateWay of Hope while she completes an Internship in the Spiritual Formation track at MidAmerica Nazarene University. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies. Leeanna has a strong desire to help women who have suffered the heartache of abuse. She offers genuine empathy and unconditional regard for women, helping them discover more peace and joy in their lives.
Amy Salge holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from KU and a Coaching Certification from the American Association of Christian Counselors. She believes, however, that her best education came as a result of her life experiences. Because of this, Amy has developed a deep passion to walk beside women who are hurting, confused and broken-hearted. She understands heartache, betrayal, depression, anxiety and despair. She specializes in coaching women who are in or have left Destructive Marriages or whose spouse struggles with pornography use and/or sexual addiction, including marital betrayal. Amy also enjoys coaching women about Boundaries…When to say yes, how to say no. She loves to help women discover their options in order to protect their hearts and take responsibility for their lives.

John has been GateWay’s Board Chair since July 2016. Prior to that John has served on the board of GateWay for 6 years
Board Treasurer. Drew joined the GateWay Board in April 2016 and is the Treasurer of the Board. His background in Finance and Accounting is a welcome addition to our growing organization.
Board Secretary. Mary has been a member of the GateWay Board and Board secretary since 2015.
Past Board Chair. Kathy is the past Board Chair of GateWay of Hope. Currently Kathy is the Executive Director of the Domest Abuse Project of Delaware County.
Board Member. Teresa has been a board member of GateWay since 2015 and has led GateWay in marketing. Teresa assisted in the transistion from the old logo to what you see today.
Board Member. Laurie has been a board member of GateWay since 2014 and has been instrumental in the budgeting process to help GateWay grow.
Gail, one of GateWay’s newer Board Members joined the board in May 2016. Gail is a retired mental health professional and has been involved in non profit mangement for many years
Board Member. Janice Love is new to the GateWay Board and joined in June 2016. Janice is also the first lady of Second Baptist Church of Olathe and Director of Training at Swope Health Systems in Kansas City Missouri
